Major congresses in Donostia / San Sebastián in April

This April several national and international congresses and meetings are going to be held in different places in the city:

C DAY – CREATIVITY GALA AND MEETING BETWEEN CREATIVES AND ADVERTISERS

On the 12th and 13th of April, Donostia/San Sebastián will for yet another year become the centrepiece of creativity, when it hosts at the Kursaal the most important event for the ad-vertising and communication industry in Spain, where more than 3,000 people are expected to take part.

At this 21st C Day., under the slogan, "Irreplaceable", they will be paying tribute to the creative profession, which has led Spanish advertising to be recognised both nationally and inter-nationally.

INTERNATIONAL WATER ASSOCIATION WATER LOSS CONFERENCE (IWA)

From the 14th to the 17th of April, Water Loss 2024, the 12th International Conference and Exhibition organized by the Water Loss Specialists Group of the International Water Associa-tion (IWA) will be held at the Kursaal in Donostia/San Sebastián. This is one of the main in-ternational events in the field of water loss management.

It is estimated that this event will bring together at the Kursaal more than 500 participants from more than 50 countries. Outstanding international experts in the field of non-revenue water management will be attending and the latest advances, strategies, techniques and applications based on the very best international practices will be addressed.

CREATIVITY WORLD FORUM (CWF2024) – CULTURAL AND CREATIVE ECOSYSTEMS: GOVERNANCE AND INNOVATION MODELS

On the 16th of April at Tabakalera the BDCC (Basque District of Culture and Creativity) is organising this international congress that will be attended by around 100 people linked with cultural and creative ecosystems, governance and innovation models.

Government agents, entrepreneurs, creatives, artists and politicians will be getting together during this event to exchange knowledge about strategies that aim to transform communi-ties into centres of innovation and creativity.

MUBIL, MOBILITY EXPO

On the 17th and 18th of April the fourth professional fair of the sustainable mobility industry in Southern Europe is being held at FICOBA. This event will bring together the main representatives of both the public and private sector (companies, technology centres, institutions and associations linked to sustainable mobility and energy), and provides a favourable environment for addressing the current demands and future challenges of sustainable mobility by offering industrial and digital solutions.

More than 100 national and international exhibitors, more than twenty leading speakers in the sector and more than 10 European cities will be taking part in Mubil this year.

6th ANNUAL ELT CONFERENCE

The sixth annual ELT Language Testing Services conference will be held on the 20th of April at the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park. The ELT Conference provides an opportunity for language teaching professionals to keep up-to-date, at the same time as they establish contact networks with other professionals in the language teaching field. This initiative aims to boost quality in language teaching and to contribute to the professional development of language teachers in the Basque Country.

Around 160 people are expected to attend.

XI SEGO NATIONAL PELVIC FLOOR CONGRESS

The XI National Pelvic Floor Congress, organised by the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SEGO), will take place at the Kursaal Congress Centre, from the 25th to the 27th of April.

Experts in Pelvic Floor Pathology will be taking part in this congress, who, through their presentations and proposals, will encourage debate on issues related to this field of medicine. The congress also aims to promote research, by favouring the dissemination of the results of the work carried out by different groups. There will also be deferred live surgery sessions that will make it possible to clarify doubts about different techniques performed by renowned surgeons.

FINE WATER SUMMIT

The Basque Culinary Centre in Donostia/San Sebastián will be hosting, from the 26th to the 28th of April, the eighth Fine Water SUMMIT Global Premium Water Conference, which has previously been held in places like Athens, Stockholm, Los Angeles or Shanghai.

The Conference will be a celebration of the very best waters, where not only their taste but also their design will be appraised. The aim of FineWaters is to explore the flavour of water, the art of gastrophysics and innovative water pairings with food or wines, among other cutting-edge concepts.
